OpenStack is henceforth at the core of the Cloud computing experiences and industry. The open-source cloud-based computing technology that was initiated as a joint project by Rackspace and NASA in 2010 includes a set of software tools that help manage and build cloud-computing platforms.
For those who are
unfamiliar, DigitalEcono recalls
that, Cloud computing works on three different models:
- Software
- Platforms
- Infrastructure
According to Technavio the open stack market in APAC is expected to grow at a CAGR of 40.47% over the period 2014-2019.

In the environment where
deploying OpenStack continues to
requiring a high level of technical expertise, the revenue generated from the
installation of open stack-based cloud solutions increase as the revenue
contribution from cloud service providers and distributors, including
associated services such as installation and
maintenance that form a part of the open stack cloud deployments or solutions
for market size calculation.
It is encouraging and exciting to observe that, IT departments implementing
OpenStack can choose from a number of similar competing solutions within the
same infrastructure, and that ,there are no vendor lock-in issues when
switching to another supplier.
Key vendors include: Cisco, Dell, HP, IBM, Mirantis, Rackspace and Red Hat.
