Beyond a set of signs of stabilization, the introduction of new technologies such as Windows 10 or new CPUs, it is clear that, the demand (consumer and commercial) for desktops and notebooks is and remains weak.
Reasons are various; from the
strengthening of the U.S. dollar and, market contraction, the devaluations of
local currencies and high PC inventory, the
worst impact on purchasing power and the continual political instability and
economic uncertainties, currency
fluctuations, low oil prices and a lack of projects to IT spending.
In terms of vendors, according
to IDC, Apple continues to outperform the market and ranked 6th. Toshiba ranked
7th, Fujitsu performed better than market average but maintained 8th position
followed by MSI and Wortmann.
