If certain dynamics continue to prosper until now like free shipping, click
and collect, and that, the global growth of B2C E-Commerce continues to create
both challenges and opportunities for the delivery sector, it is indispensable
to recall that, as of early 2015 (according to Research and Markets), in Asia,
for example, around half of digital buyers preferred to add items to a cart in order to
qualify for the free shipping service and in North America more than half of
all online shoppers chosen longer delivery times.
In Sweden, close to half of
online shoppers preferred to pick up their online orders from the post office
or another location, rather than have these orders delivered to their home. In
Argentina, Latina America and Africa, home delivery and pick up at the point of
sale was and remains the leading delivery method used by online shoppers.
