High levels of fraud; lack of trust in eCommerce security affecting Consumers in Thailand



In our ever-connected world, one can easily observe that, banking and commerce is rapidly changing; consumers are shopping on multiple channels and demanding to pay with new payment methods.


If there is a global infatuation to shop or make transactions online, it remains obvious that, there is a lack of trust in merchants and eCommerce, which makes it imperative that merchants should provide secure payments options for their clients. 

When it comes to Consumers in Thailand, the results of ACI Worldwide’s new Thai Commerce & Payment Study reveal that, local and cross-border eCommerce continues to grow, payment service provides, merchants and consumers are demanding solutions that are simple, global and secure.

One can also observe that, the study, conducted with DataOne Asia (Thailand), Co., Ltd., also explored usage of cross-border and person-to-person (P2P) payments, highlighting the opportunity to replace cash transactions with alternative payments.
